2017 BEAST FEAST SATURDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2017 RAISED ALMOST $20,000 FOR SCHOOL PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS
Our annual Beast Feast was held on Saturday, October 21 at the Etheridge Produce Farm in Williston and it was a great night with great food, prizes, cake auction and drawings for some “really great” prizes.
The event was sponsored by 13 Gold ($500) and 14 Silver ($250) Sponsors with over 300 people in attendance. The delicious food was provided and prepared by 17 community groups and businesses and included:
desserts by the Williston Woman’s Club; spicy cream corn by the Levy County Property Appraiser’s office; yard bird on a stick (that’s chicken) by Suncoast Credit Union; boiled shrimp by Capital City Bank; cole claw and beans provided by the College of Central Florida; clam chowder from members of the Levy County School Board; roast beast from the administrators at the LCSB; frog legs by the foundation; venison chili from CHW, Inc; gumbo by the Williston Rotary; mullet & grits by Drummond Bank; gator meat prepared by Duke Energy employees; possum ribs from the Levy County Prevention Coalition; swamp cabbage by Nature Coast Financial Service; clams by the Levy County Commissioners; delicious lobster mac n cheese from Melanie’s Restaurant; smoked mullet dip from Rick Turner and beverages from the Gathering Table.
It was a wonderful evening and we hope you can join us next year. Tickets are only $20 and can be purchased in advance through Levy County banks or at the door. We will announce the October date for 2018 early in the summer.
