FOUNDATION RECEIVES STATE GRANT

The Consortium of Florida Education Foundations (CFEF) recently awarded the Levy County Schools Foundation $16,910.12 in matching funds through the School District Education Foundation Matching Grant Program provided through the State of Florida. $48,200 IN COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED TO SENIORS IN 2017

Through its generous scholarship sponsors, donors and fundraising efforts the Foundation was proud to award 59 scholarships totaling $48,200 to deserving seniors of Levy County Schools.

CAPITAL CITY BANK CONTINUES TO SUPPORT EDUCATION

The Capital City Bank continues to support the Foundation in 2016/17 with their sponsorship of our Beast Feast and Gala fundraising events as a Gold sponsor; our Evening of Excellence to celebrate our teachers, ESPs and volunteers of the year; and providing $1,000 scholarship for a student from each of our high schools.  In addition, this year they are supporting our Grants for Great Ideas project with $1,500

THANK YOU TO SUNCOAST CREDIT UNION FOR THEIR CONTINUED SUPPORT

The Suncoast Credit Union continues to support the Foundation and the Levy County Schools with a $12,500 grant for 2017/18.  These funds are allocated to classroom grants, our Grants for Great Ideas Program,our STEM Education programs, our literacy project and student discretionary funds to help students in need.

Funds from their grants have provided opportunities for science field trips for students to enjoy hands-on experiences in their science classes.

They have supported our Library Project by providing funds to our new teachers to help them purchase books for their classroom libraries.
