$55,700 IN COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED TO SENIORS

Through its generous scholarship sponsors, donors and fundraising efforts the Foundation was proud to award 65 scholarships totaling $55,700 to deserving seniors of Levy County Schools. LCSF STARS GALA FUNDRAISING EVENT FEBRUARY 18, 2017 WITH GUEST SPEAKER CONGESSMAN NEAL DUNN

The Levy County Schools Foundation STARS Gala fundraising event is slated for Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the Williston Middle/High School.  The semiformal evening will begin with hors dóeuvres and mingling at 5:00 pm followed by dinner and program at 6:00.  The event will benefit the nonprofit Foundation with funds to support its scholarship and grant programs for Levy County schools and students.

Tickets for the event are $50 per person.  Sponsorship opportunities are available at $250, $500, $1,000 and $2,000 levels.  For sponsorship or ticket information please contact Donna Turner at lcsf@levy,k12.flus or call (352)493-6056 (Monday – Wednesday).

The evening will include dinner, entertainment, a silent auction and door prizes. The program will feature guest speaker, Congressman Neal Dunn representing Florida’s Congressional District 2.

THANK YOU TO SUNCOAST CREDIT UNION FOR THEIR CONTINUED SUPPORT

The Suncoast Credit Union continues to support the Foundation and the Levy County Schools with a $10,500 grant for 2016/17.  These funds are allocated to classroom grants, our Grants for Great Ideas Program and our STEM Education programs.

Funds from their grants have provided opportunities for science field trips along with $1500 in water testing equipment for students to enjoy hands-on experiences in their science classes.

They have supported our Chrome Book Library Project by providing $4,000 to purchase the Joyce Bullock Elementary books and cart being rolled out at the beginning of the 2016/17 school year.
